Raleigh Pub

I was checking out the Raleigh USA sight and saw this little contraption…read the story behind it.

Not all cyclists down a coffee before a ride; nor do all cyclists quaff a beer after their ride. For those who do (and for those who don’t), we created the PUB, or Public Utility Bicycle. Perfect for the trip down to the coffee shop or to the store for after-ride food and beverages, the PUB features a bottle opener built into the frame, a color we call “stout, and a very cool retro utilitarian look that is sure to turn heads.

Seattle was literally the birthplace of the gourmet coffee wave that has swept across America – a small company (the name rhymes with “oh, shucks) started with one small store in downtown Seattle. Seattle was also at the forefront of the revival of craft brewing in the US, and one of our favorite after-ride stops is Hale’s Ales Brewery (www.halesales.com), right off the Burke-Gilman Trail.

Established in 1982 by Mike Hale after a bicycle tour of southern England, Hale’s features great food and ales brewed using traditional English brewing methods. One of our favorites is Hale’s Cream Ale (sorry it’s only sold on premises and selected other locations). Remember to ride responsibly and to “Enjoy the Ride.

P.S. Raleigh America would like to remind you that it is against the law to drink alcoholic beverages and operate a vehicle (yes, that includes bicycles).

Now check out the bike HERE.
