I’ve been at my new job about 2 weeks now. So far so good! I decided to give commuting to my new office a try and see how it goes. I used to have a job right accross the 405 freeway from where I’m at and I’ve commuted there before.
Here the start of my commute.

From my house to my office, its about 22 + miles. I figured I’d give it a try…at least half way and see how well I do.
Pic for dramatic effect.

I drove to my friends house in the city of Orange and parked my car in front of his door. I then set out to Irvine. From Orange to Irvine its about 12-13 miles.
Check out this sign…cool eh?

John Wayne Airport…sorry its blurry I was going uber fast on my bike!

To my surprise I got to my office in about 35 minutes! I locked up my bike, and got on the elevator.
Finally Here!

At first I misread the article and thought you did 22 miles in 35 minutes - and felt so inferior… Then I saw that you tried halfway first. I am doing 15 miles each way from Norwalk to Greenwich CT. The distance is fine, but the hills really wear me out! People look at me like I am crazy when I tell them I go 15 miles each way (which takes me about an hour and 10 minutes) but it’s not much more than I would do just for exercise anyway - plus I get the added motivation that I have to get to work, and then home!

Eric,
I know what you mean by motivation about having to go to work and back home.
Once I got here this morning I couldn’t wait to get off work just so I could ride again!

Funny you say that, after I did the post, I realized that I left my bottle and light. So I went down to go get it on my break.
