It is a curse that Mongoose, Schwinn, K2 and Fezzari have to endure. They all sell quality bikes but their reputation with 'serious' cyclists have been tarnished. It's still my backup commuter. I don't know why DB gets such a hard time from so-called "serious" cyclists. Looks like you had a great ride. Oh yah, Nice panniers. I just picked up the exact same set on Tuesday. I did about 40 miles on Monday with a heavy load bungeed insecurely to my rack. On shorter rides, I was using a sweaty backpack. I'd had enough of that. Now I don't know how I got along without panniers :) I love the first picture! Looks like you had a great ride.
