KHS and Bike Commuters

You may have noticed that we feature a lot of KHS stuff on this site. Well, it is because we have a great relationship with them. Vince C, Henry H and Vince R are super cool KHS employees that support bike commuting. Back in February we had a chance to visit their US Headquarters located in Dominguez Hills. I commute (and enjoy) my KHS Town and Country 100. It’s a comfort bike, and it is really really comfy! This is my third season on her (I named her Badger), and I chose it because it was very forgiving controlwise for my newbie self. And It didn’t look too girly girl.

I recommend my bike to any potential newbie who asks what kind of bike should she get. In the future, I want to get a road bike (I was thinking Terry’s), but I will check out all of KHS’ first!

I love me some KHS too. I’m getting their Tandemania Alite TODAY! Moe is picking it up for me this afternoon.

Woo hoo! I can’t wait for the Tandem..that should be fun.
Cyclo Kitty: So what’s the story behind the name “Badger”? I haven’t named any of my bikes yet…i shld come up with something.
I haven’t had the privelege of testing a Terry bike yet…but I love their line of cycle wear for women. And I have one of their saddles on my ibex..LOVE IT!

Terry’s clothes are great! I recently bought two pairs of skorts and a pair of baggy shorts (think strettttch). They are incredibley comfy, and they wash well. I’m switching my saddle for a Terry’s later this week, can’t wait!
I named it Badger because it’s black and white. It would’ve been cool if she ate raw eggs, but it’s enough that she can haul my substantial butt 20km round trip 4 times a week, plus pleasure rides!
