Crocs sent me some really cool shoes called Axle to test out for BikeCommuters.com. The whole idea about using Crocs is that you never have to worry about getting your feet wet during a wet commute. So there’s no need to bring an extra pair of dry shoes since they’ll double as your shoes for your bike(platform pedals) and the shoes you wear around the office. To some the green camo might be a bit much, but for me, I love em’!
Here’s some info on the Crocs:
• cool camo pattern enhances rugged look and feel
• padded leather upper and tongue and industrial laces provide all around comfort while keeping foot firmly in place
• rugged sole grips and grabs while sensitive enough to hold an edge
• circulation nubs stimulate blood flow
• made with croslite™ material

They kinda remind me of duck shoes. These are pretty darn comfy!

You can wear them with shorts…

Or with a pair of jeans…

Nice soles…

There’s rain fore casted this weekend, so I’ll make sure I hope on the bike and see how well they do. Check back for the report!

I were crocs around the house and would totally be into these for commuting in warm/rain weather. Although, I would like black.
While I haven’t commuted in my Crocs, I have done quite a bit of biking in them (around the neighborhood and such)…they are so soft that they’ll absorb a lot of your pedaling effort, even using big platform pedals. It’s a lot like walking in soft sand — a good bit of extra effort without any real benefit. But, they’re comfortable as can be!!
dude….are those jeans just too long or….?
Looks like those Crocs would be pretty slippery on the pedals. They do look like duck hunting shoes…and there’s nothing good about hunting period.
John,
That’s the style…
Besides, it hard to find pants with a 29 inseam…I’m a short fella!
Do they come in black and how are they when the weather gets warm?

Crocs? Egad.
I know they make a Desert Cammo and a Winter Cammo, but no Black so far that I’ve seen.
When are they coming out with the SPD compatible croc?
Ever see the Keen SPD sandle?

I’d still like to know how they handle the heat.
Last thing anyone wants is a bad case of swampfoot because they’re wearing rubber shoes in warm weather.
I wouldn’t recommend wearing those in the rain with shorts – all the waterproofness will be for naught because water will roll down your legs and into the lining of the shoes.
I agree with Josh!
Has anyone ridden with the Keen Newport sandals? They now make a similar style that is SPD cleat compatible. Just wondering.
Perfect work!Keep posting
