My name is RL Policar, I am a Hypermiler...

I used to drive 110 miles each way for a weekly project for work. I'd sit right behind a big rig doing 55mph all the way down and I'd get about 40mpg.

Haha. This post came up in a Google Alert on "hypermiling" for me.

I also prefer to bike rather than drive, but when I do drive I definitely squeeze every drop of gas until it cries.

I like your list, Benjamin. Hard not to when the first tip is "drive less!" :)

When I saw this post in my RSS feed I was pretty shocked, because I never expected to see it showing up on a bike blog, but here it is. I am a hypermiler myself, who prefers to bike when possible, so that's kinda neat for me to see.

If anyone wants to learn more, there is a new tips & tricks database for hypermilers, with 100+ tips right now: http://ecomodder.com/forum/hypermiling-driving-tips-ecodriving.php

Sweet post though!
