One guy in our office actually sent out a response to my email offering free bike repairs, to anyone riding their bike to work, for the entire week(he mentioned he has 20 years wrenching experience). Duh. I'm sure you love your mom everyday as well, but there's still a Mother's Day isn't there? A few years ago I was sick and tired of getting stuck in traffic and high gas prices and thought that this is the way the world works and I just have to suck it up. Then I found the bicycle and a whole new world was opened up to me. I'm sure there are people out there who are hopleless (even more so with $4 gas) and then they will be enlightened. We are already converted, you never know, these "special" events may find some poor soul in need of saving. Bike to work week is a great idea.
