I will shout the praises of Chuck Harris's mirrors from the rooftops. If you can get your hands on one, buy three. Once you use it, you will not know how you got along without it.

I use the mirror that's made for my Bell Metro helmet. It's not a round shape, it's more like a round triangle, but it works very well. I never could find a mirror that worked well with my sunglasses. This way my mirror is always with me, and it folds up out of the way when I don't need it.

Unfortunately, Bell has discontinued the Metro....

Whatchoo talkin' 'bout, Willis? I like bikes like nobody's business, but I'm no geek! ;)

I've perfected turning my head to look behind me...our racing coach back in the day drilled us in taking quick glances from under our left arms in the aero "tuck" position -- basically, you get an upside-down look at the world behind you, and then you have to turn the image right-side-up in your mind. It's much easier than it sounds.

You of all people don't wear a mirror? But you're the geekest one of all!
Seriously though, you have a mirror on your car, why not on your bike? And by bike, I mean helmet. Bicycle-mounted mirrors can misadjusted easily, vibrate to all hell, and to see behind you, you may need to swing the handlebars back and forth. Craziness.

I can't recommend the CycleAware Reflex mirrors enough. You can pick one up around $15, they are damn near unbreakable. It's probably my favorite piece of bike gear.

I never thought about that...I've never used a rear-view mirror before, and I almost always wear sunglasses or regular eyeglasses when I ride, but I can see the extra benefit of a helmet-mounted mirror.

I really like the CycleAware Reflex Mirror that sticks to your helmet. I tend to dislike glasses mirrors because well... as often as I lose glasses, I would have to replace a mirror too! And I don't always wear glasses like I always wear a helmet.
