Priscilla and I hit Downtown Brea for our weekly date, but rather than using the Xtracycle, we both got on our cruisers. Priscilla has a pretty Electra Butterfly and I was riding the super cool Nirve Night Owl.

I always make sure that we have plenty of lights. Priscilla gets the Down Low Glow lights so people can see her. Here’s a blurry shot of her bike, gives you an idea on how bright it is. Drivers will even slow down just to see what that light is all about.

I had installed my vintage Norex Ideale Saddle on the Nirve a while back. So far its not bad. I think I just need to adjust it and tilt it down.

So here we are enjoying some Cold Stone Creamery…mmm cake batter….

Well…have you taken your better half on a bike date yet?

Yes!
Derek, that question didn’t apply to you since you were my inspiration to start going on “hot dates” with Priscilla.
Thanks,
RL
Yep…to the local Dairy Queen and Andy’s (sort of a burger/sub joint) We ride the MUP and cut over and come in from the backside of the shopping center. Like most freakin’ strip malls it faces on a very cyclist unfriendly 4 lane highway
Aaron
haha sweet!
RL–nice saddle. How do you like it compared to the Brooks?
No bike dates…. yet.
I am looking at a Down Low Glow to make my nightly commute a bit safer.
Are you happy with the amount of light the single tube DLG puts out or if you were buying another one would you get the twin-tube version?
I Imagine the single is good for swapping from bike to bike but the double one is not that much more expensive.
I’m happy with the single light, but I know the dual would be a better choice since you place it on the rear stay…cars can totally see you.
