I feel your pain! I’m a bit to the North in Des Moines and we are slowly developing a strong bike culture. we have recreation trails, but people still can’t seem to see bikes as anything but recreation. I commute year round and I seem to get more respect when it is below zero and snowing. maybe the just figure I’m too crazy to mess with then? ha. keep it up. we just started a Bike Collective with some city assistance and some dedicated individuals. They have clinics and even help people get bikes. Pretty awesome for the change-resistant uppper midwest. stay safe out there!
