I’ve been playing with my brand spanking new Flip Ultra video camera and will be using it for my future bike tours and for reviews (for you dear readers). So here’s the inaugural video review and it’s of a great product, the Velo-Orange handlebar bag.
In other news, I’m starting a more touring-specific blog called Epicurean Cyclist that will review the nice classy bits of bike gear that I love. So start reading that! Some of it may overlap with Bikecommuters, so I’ll post on both, but some things like reviews of hard cheeses or salami’s….probably not
Anyway, enjoy the first vid!

I LOVE my Flip video camera — could an electronic device be ANY easier to use?!?!?
Hmm…reviews of hard cheeses. Not sure if that will fly over here, but sounds good otherwise. I’ll be sure to check out your new venture!
Yeah…the Flip is fun! It has it’s limitations, but I’m in the belief you can still make great video with it….skill and content will trump technology (or so I hope
Well, I have neither skill nor good content, but I love my camera just the same. Hopefully LUCK falls into that equation somewhere!
I’ve been eyeing the Ostrich bag at VO for a couple of years now, but it’s awfully pricey at $110. I paid $170 for my Carradice panniers, and that’s TWO bags.
I understand VO is going to do one in-house that’s reminiscent of a TA bag. Hopefully they can get the price down. Not dealing with importing from Japan should help.
