A lot of readers know that I’m the bike touring aficionado of the BikeCommuters.com crew and that I have a pet project dedicated to touring called Epicurean Cyclist If you commute regularly you should give bike touring a try! You’re probably in good enough shape and chances are you’ve got racks, panniers and all the stuff you need to do it.
Anyway, on my last tour I left the DSLR at home and took a Flip video camera with me. I hope this inspires some readers to give touring a try!

Wow, great summary : the “commuting” or “transfer” part (riding in the town, catching a bus or a train…), the sometimes hard job to load and unload the bike in the bus/train, to pack and unpack the racks… And, finally, the great escape
