One of the things I discovered when my wife and I decided to go “car-lite” and sell one of our vehicles is that it becomes quite easy to justify “splurge” purchases for cycling gear. A pair of handbuilt wheels for my Bianchi here, a few vintage Italian components there…and nary a snide comment from Leah (I made sure to buy her some goodies, too).
One item that especially caught my eye was the special edition Cars R Coffins jersey made by TwinSix:

This purchase was sort of site-related, too. While communicating with the good folks in Minneapolis, I managed to convince bike-culture legend/CRC mastermind Tom “Hurl Everstone” Everson to submit a commuter profile for our site. With a little luck, he’ll send it all to me soon so I can share his wisdom with you!
So, the moral of this story is, if you have a car gathering dust, you should really consider selling it — think of all the bike goodies you can shower yourself with!!!
