The Major Taylor Project is dedicated to creating a multicultural community where teenagers
have equal opportunity to spend time outdoors and on a bicycle.
Marshall “Major” Taylor was the first African American professional cyclist. Born in 1878, Major Taylor’s professional racing career included the world one-mile track cycling championship in 1899. The Major Taylor Clubs will honor his commitment to his passion in the face of adversity. Community Partners: Cascade Bicycle Club Education Foundation, Bike Works, Rainier Vista Boys and Girls Club, Global Connections High School, and The YES Foundation of White Center Project supported by King County Metro, Group Health Cooperative, Seattle Bike Supply, Recycled Cycles, Rack N Road, Cycle University, and Cascade Bicycle Club

what does this have to do with Redline?
Tadster, one of the community partners is Seattle Bike Supply, the distributor for Redline Bicycles.
Major is the next book on my to-read list. Just finished reading Tour de Life, about Saul Raisin. Good book. And he’s a local (for me) Georgia boy.
There is an error in this post. One of the start up sponsors is Rack N Road, not Sports Rack. Thanks!
Ooops! We’ll fix that. Thanks, Danielle!
