If you had 3 wishes…
Which bike commuting product would you want to have right now?
I’ll start it off:
1. AirZound bicycle horn.. Have you heard how loud this thing is? This will get motorist’s attention.
2. A Bicycle canopy for hot and sunny days. I’m sure it would work great too for the rain.
3. A bamboo made Xtracycle…so if Calfee and Xtracycle were to conceive that…I’d be all over it!

1. A waterproof, non-fluorescent jacket with nice-feeling outer material and reflective piping so I don’t look like a traffic cone when walking outside once I’m at work.
2. Bigger, full coverage fenders
3. A Big Dummy with Nuvinci hub. 
1. Someone to clean my ride for me every week.
2. Better selection of casual cycling clothes for big boys.
3. A shower at the office!
I have an AirZound. Holy cow! Tip: don’t accidentally blow it when the cat is on your wife’s lap!

So, Mr. Dottie doesn’t covet “n+1″? I can’t claim my wife appreciates my addiction, but at least she accepts it. Now if only I could find storage for the collection of bicycles that has found a home in my dining room and kitchen (I’m out of room in the shed and backyard)…
I’d go for the Bamboo Xtracycle myself, but I’m afraid my wife would never surf on the back of it as shown in the picture.
I feel lucky… I have an airzound. Use it at your own risk. Motorists get pretty upset when you let them know they almost killed you.
I have an Alfine hub… It is great. Didn’t want to spend the bucks on a Rohloff if I didn’t like it. I almost wish I would have now.
I have a dynamo hub too. I hooked up the Planet Bike Blaze to it.
Now, if I could get my new job not to require so much travel, I could commute more.
Here’s mine:
1- I’m with Ha1ku, would be nice to have a shower in the office.
2-A proper GPS on those days I like to ‘wander.’
3-Something that came up the other day: a pedal cab/rickshaw bike setup. I had a lunch date with my CEO and the SVP of marketing and I couldn’t offer a ride since, well, that would be at once dangerous and uncomfortable…but imagine if I took them to the restaurant in one of those machines! Seeing their reactions on their faces (as well as the valet) would be priceless.
1. More dedicated cyclepaths in my city and whole country.
2. The law which prefers bikers before cars.
3. The surrounding magic ring which will protect me to all that Bike Ninjas, Tour de France bikers, drivers in the cars, dogs trying to catch me and those autumn-winter cold weather.
Earplugs to protect me from all you airzound users.
Therapy to calm my airzounded nerves
An airzound for use around the house. You know, barking dog, innatentive kids, whatever.
Just kidding, by the way. I’ve never heard one.

@Mech1- Come out to New Jersey. Our psychopaths are some of the most dedicated you’ll find.

A Yuba Mundo with a chrome plated frame, Nu vinci hub, and a Schlumpf mountain/speed drive mechanism, with a generator hub wired to charge my battery.
A rain jacket I can wear in warm rainy weather that doesn’t make me feel like I’m going to sweat to death.
Titanium commuter bike, bead blasted to a matte finish, with discs, rack braze-ons, and 26 inch wheels. I’d like it to have the geometry of my Bridgestone XO-2. Habanero could do it but $$.
Schmitt SON hub with a dynamo light as bright as my DiNotte 600L.

Mike Myers, you might look at the military ECWCS Parka, it come in black, and a couple colors of camouflage (woodland, desert, and digital). It is made with a proprietary material known as HYVAT, a three layer sandwich, which seems better than Gore-tex (at least at keeping you dry).
It feels good without the liner, which provides most of the warmth, and it can be purchased stand-alone, but I suggest you bu the liner with it, it is quite warm, made out of what I am told is Polartec 300. The parka is about $85 on Amazon. Look carefully, there are more expensive versiuons as well. The thing that makes it nice is not only can the liner be used as a jacket, but both layers come with 2 underarm zippers that provide a 1 foot of venting under each arm. The hood also can fit over your helmet should you choose to wear one. The elbows are double reinforced, and the sleeves are velcro adjustable.
I find that the liner is quite similar to my lighter bicycle jacket, but has more features for comfort. Heavier zippers, more reinforcements(sholders and elbow patches), more pockets, heavier material. Lasts longer too.
Sounds like it was made for combat bicycle riding.
1. Killer generator light set-up (although I’m about to install a Shimano hub w/Spanninga lights, we’ll see if that does the trick)
