@Mike -- I'm 5' 8.5" with a 31" inseam. And I have long orangutan-like arms to go with my longish torso, so top tube length and stem length are pretty crucial to get me comfortable on a bike.

@Sabinna -- MaxWAY, not Maxwell. I've always been very impressed by their work, and they contract stuff to a lot of big names (Surly, Salsa, Dawes, Ritchey, Jamis and several others).

Curious if you'd share your height and torso length? I'd like to use it as a reference for frame sizing.

Just to add a bit to Ghost Rider's comment. Maxwell are pretty big and they opted to stay in Taiwan where many other frame makers moved to China. They have a good name in the business, probably number 1 in Taiwan because of it. You got yourself a good frame.

I would love to subscribe to this, but I only get a page of gobbledygook when I hit the RSS option. I'm probably doing it very wrong.

Clancy, you're right...I forgot all about that. Back in those days, I couldn't afford the really colorful stuff (other than a pair of red Z-Rims). Remember those?

Build looks nice.

The 90's were the second era of color anodized parts. The first was the old school BMX from 81-85.

It's possible...Maxway is a HUGE frame maker and does contract work for a variety of companies (as do many other Taiwanese frame makers). Clients can choose straight from a catalog or specify their own blend; some of the more savvy brands would ask for logo-less fork ends, though.

So I guess Maxwell builds Vassago frames as well? That dropout looks identical to the dropouts on my Jabberwocky. I'll look for the logo tonight when I get home from work.
