I ran into Michael Ploch of Caleb’s Creations at this year’s Bicycle Bash, and he had lots of new sharrow-printed items on display. You remember Sharrow Shirts, right? You know, the place that makes the awesome reflective vests?
Michael has added a number of these items to his online ordering page, including mesh versions of the original sharrow vest in both safety yellow and blaze orange. I’m going to have to try one of the mesh vests for the intense summer heat around here…the light polyester of my current vest is pretty stifling on hot days, surprisingly enough.
There are other goods, too — t-shirts, sweatshirts and hats; all of them have the USDOT sharrow symbol and many of the items have “Share the Lane” printed on them in the same reflective material. I scored a really nice baseball cap from Michael, too — 3M reflective “Scotchlite” on the brim and adjustment strap and the sharrow symbol up top:
With early sunsets in full swing, being extra-visible is a good idea at this time of the year. Take a look at the Sharrow Shirts offerings by visiting their page, and tell them Jack sent you. You’ll be glad you did!
