Interbike 2012: Simcoe and Bobbin

Simcoe and Bobbin had city style bikes on display at the show. Very elegant and equipped with lugged head tube and crowned forks.

Though the head tube lugs were nice, I was hoping it would be all through out the frame.

Simple, yet beautiful.

A nice added touch to the fender.

IGH, rear rack, wicker basket…beautiful.

Roller brakes.

…look! It’s a Brooks!

Call me a girl or whatever, but I DIG…DIG…DIG step-thru frames. Ugh don’t even ask me how I feel about Mixte frames because I’ll go on and on about how much I love them.

Who would have thought that brown would be so pretty.

Again, a Brooks!

  1. Mike Myers

Very nice. I’m glad traditional bikes are making a comeback. And my love for Brooks saddles knows no bounds.

Rivendell has done more for the bike industry in the last 20 years than anyone will ever give them credit for.

Remember when steel bikes were passe’, nylon bags were the rage, and Brooks saddles were hard to find? Now you can buy Brooks at Nashbar!

  2. Ghost Rider

I don’t remember Brooks as ever being hard to find (you just had to know where to look), but I’ll agree with everything else you said.

  3. Elizabeth

I’ll be “voluntold” to test one of these any time. 😉

i’m surprised bobbin put their mixte in the show as it is not available to the U.S. i asked my local bike shop a few months ago. i would be thrilled if this has changed!!

They did say they are making it available in 2013.

  6. Ghost Rider

Yes, a lot of new products shown at Interbike are a “preview” for the 2013 model year.

  7. ridonrides
